Osteopathy uses very precise palpatory and manipulative techniques to treat the restrictions in tissues which prevent the various parts of the body from fulfilling their natural functions. The objective of the practice of Osteopathy is to restore mobility to the different systems of the body, (musculo-skeletal, circulatory, digestive, pulmonary and nervous systems) thus improving the regulation and interactions of these systems.

Massage Therapy

The practice of massage therapy is the assessment of the soft tissue and joints of the body and the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of the soft tissue and joints by manipulation to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function, or relieve pain.

Tina Andres graduated from the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics, and a minor in Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences. She is a registered kinesiologist with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario. She then earned her Diploma in Osteopathy from the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto, and is an active member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners. Tina has taken additional osteopathic courses for the treatment of migraines and headaches, and is well-versed in migraines after completing her thesis on the topic. She has experience working with patients of all ages, and particularly enjoys treating children and newborns. Tina has always loved helping others, and is passionate about making her clients feel their best! Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, exercising, and traveling.

Glenn Burke completed his Diploma in Osteopathy Manual Practice from the Canadian College of Osteopathy. He previously graduated from Cape Breton University in 1997 with a BACS, PE/Biology. His education continued at Sheridan College graduating in 2001 with a diploma in Sports Injury Management and is a Registered Kinesiologist. Glenn has been a Certified Athletic Therapist for the past 19 years. He has also specialized in fitting bracing as well as becoming proficient in assessing and rehabilitating acute and chronic injuries. He prides himself on giving individual patient attention ensuring their rehab and bracing satisfies their needs. Glenn has worked with the NHL, AHL, OHL, WNHL, Canadian Wheelchair Rugby and Niagara Varsity Football teams. He has also had the pleasure of working with the Pan Am Games as well as the Invictus Games. Colleen Creighton has been a Certified Athletic Therapist for over 30 years and is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapist Association. She is currently enrolled at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in her pursuit to become an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. Coleen obtained her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Athletic Training from the University of North Dakota. She then acquired her Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification with the National Strength Coaching Association. Colleen’s career has seen her in a variety of environments including Rugby Canada and Softball Canada as part of the medical team. She has worked as an on-site therapist in several industries and is an experienced clinician in both private clinics and university settings. The majority of Colleen’s career has been spent in the Performance Medicine environment touring as Therapist with Cirque du Soleil and as Head Therapist with The Han Show in Wuhan, China. Colleen has spoken internationally and led seminars on the subjects of Emergency Preparedness in the Performance Acrobatic Environment, Issues related to Women’s Pelvic Health as well as health and safety strategies in the industrial environment.

Alyson Dam graduated with honours from Mohawk College’s Massage therapy program in early 2024. Throughout her studies, Alyson gained experience in a variety of different areas including athletics, injury recovery, prenatal, chronic pain, geriatrics, and long-term care.

Alyson’s interest in health began from a young age being heavily involved in sports, and later picked up strength training. As an athlete, she quickly learned the importance of maintaining ones health, as well as the different avenues of recovery within the injury healing process and the role that massage therapy can play within these areas.

Using a combination of hands-on therapy, at-home exercises, and client education, Alyson creates treatments tailored to one’s individual needs in order to create positive outcomes. Alyson offers treatments using many different techniques including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, and stretching.

Outside of the clinic, Alyson enjoys going on walks, reading, and spending time with her family.

Valerie Eder graduated from York University with a Specialized Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences as well as a Certificate in Athletic Therapy. She then earned her Diploma in Massage Therapy from the Ontario College of Health and Technology, and her Contemporary Medical Acupuncture certification from McMaster University. She has also earned her Diploma in Osteopathy from the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto, where she was the recipient of the William Garner Sutherland Thesis Award for Clinical Research for her thesis on The Effect of Global Osteopathic Treatment for Postpartum Pelvic Girdle Pain: A Study Design. Valerie has also completed additional certifications in Soft Tissue Release, Fascial Stretch Therapy and Kinesotaping. While beginning her career working predominantly with amateur and professional athletes, Valerie is enjoying expanding her focus to include women’s health issues with a special interest in both prenatal and postnatal care.

Mike Recine began his education with a degree from McMaster University in Psychology. He went on to study Athletic Therapy at Concordia University where he graduated with honours. While working in the Athletic Therapy field, Mike completed his Diploma in Osteopathy Manual Practice from the Canadian College of Osteopathy. Mike has completed his Master’s in Rehabilitation Science from McMaster University. Mike continues to be active in the community as an Athletic Therapist and Osteopath. He has been head therapist for the Ontario Rugby Unions Junior program and is part of the Medical Staff for the National Men’s rugby team.
